Timothy O'Brien, pastor of St. Patrick Parish, to address the educational needs of the children of Irish Catholic immigrants in the Acre section of Lowell. Throughout its history, St. Patrick School has expanded to address the educational needs of all children while maintaining a commitment to children of newly arrived immigrants.

In 2004, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur assumed responsibility of the Pre-K through Grade 8 School and initiated the establishment of an Adult Educational Center.
