St. Patrick School and Educational Center is a family of students, teachers and parents who share belief in God and form a community of welcome and respect for all. We are committed to excellence in education. We believe all children are learners and recognize that they, as we, have different styles of learning. In our instruction and evaluation we make conscious effort to recognize and respond to these differences.
History St. Patrick School was founded in 1852 by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in response to the invitation of Rev. Timothy O'Brien, pastor of St. Patrick Parish, to address the educational needs of the children of Irish Catholic immigrants in the Acre section of Lowell. Throughout its history, St. Patrick School has expanded to address the educational needs of all children while maintaining a commitment to children of newly arrived immigrants.
In 2004, the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur assumed responsibility of the Pre-K through Grade 8 School and initiated the establishment of an Adult Educational Center.
